Javea

Javea: A Mediterranean Paradise You’ll Keep Coming Back To

Jávea is unique in that it’s divided into three distinct areas: the bustling Port, the charming Old Town, and the lively Arenal Beach filled with cafes and clubs spread along the beautiful promenade with many palm trees. Each area offers something special, making it easy for visitors to experience a full spectrum of local life. The Port is where the rhythm of the town pulses—fishing boats in the harbour, seafood restaurants line at the seafront. The days start with the sound of waves and end with the glow of the setting sun. In contrast, the Old Town is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and hidden plazas. Here, history whispers through the medieval architecture, and the Church of San Bartolomé, Local enclosed Marke, “El Convent” square and small, but charming “Soler Blasco Archaeological museum”, stand as a beautiful reminder of the town’s past.

Javea’s spectacular coastline—the towering cliffs, hidden coves and bays and ever-changing light—have been a muse for painters like Joaquín Sorolla, whose vibrant seascapes capture the essence of this beautiful corner of Spain. The interplay of light and shadow, the deep blues of the sea, and the gentle hills surrounding the town create a scene so striking that it’s impossible not to feel moved by it.
