Costal Villages

Denia

Dénia is a vibrant coastal city in Spain’s Marina Alta region, celebrated for its historic castle, beautiful beaches, and rich culinary scene. The city is home to renowned chef Quique Dacosta, whose eponymous three-Michelin-starred restaurant draws food lovers from around the world to experience innovative Spanish cuisine. Beyond its gastronomy, Dénia offers a lively marina, traditional markets, and a charming old town filled with colorful shops and cafes.

Altea

Our personal favorite, outside of Javea! Altea is a picturesque coastal town on Spain’s Costa Blanca, renowned for its charming old town and artistic ambiance. The town’s whitewashed houses, narrow cobblestone streets, and vibrant flowers create a beautiful backdrop that draws both artists and visitors. Its famous blue-domed Church of Our Lady of Consolation sits atop a hill, offering sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. Altea’s beachfront promenade is lively, lined with cafes, seafood restaurants, and boutique shops perfect for an evening stroll. Known for its relaxed, bohemian vibe, Altea blends cultural heritage with coastal beauty, making it a unique and serene destination.

Moraira

Originally a small fishing village, it has grown into a popular destination with a charming marina, seafood restaurants, and scenic coastal promenades. The town’s historic castle overlooking the sea adds a touch of history, making Moraira a blend of natural beauty, tranquility, and Mediterranean culture. Playa del Portet in Moraira is a charming, crescent-shaped bay with calm, turquoise waters and golden sand, framed by lush hills, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling in a picturesque setting.

Benissa

Benissa is a small village mostly known for its blend of natural beauty of Sierra Bernia and the traditional Spanish character. The Paseo Ecológico is a scenic coastal path offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean, perfect for walking by the coastline where  you can enjoy unparalleled views of the Peñón d’Ifach , a massive limestone outcrop emerging from the sea. La Fustera is a pebbled nay with clear waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling, set against a backdrop of beautiful natural surroundings. Nearby, Mandala Beach Bar provides a relaxed atmosphere, serving cocktails, Mediterranean dishes, and live music, making it a favorite spot for unwinding by the sea.
